Colorado Mesh

Colorado's Mesh Network Community

Our Colorado Mesh Network Community is a grassroots group of amateur radio operators, outdoor enthusiasts, tech builders & tinkerers, and locals creating resilient, decentralized communication using affordable LoRa hardware. No internet or cell towers needed — just people-powered nodes for staying connected or experimenting in the city or in remote spots.

How Does It Work?

ColoradoMesh - Formally DenverMesh -- is working to set up a mesh network in Colorado. User's contribute to the network using their personal Meshtastic, MeshCore, or Reticulum devices. These radios communicate on the 915 MHz frequency using the LoRa protocol. The radios mesh using the open-source Meshtastic software, or the other protocols. Users can connect to these repeaters by Bluetooth or they can use their own handheld nodes which will also act as repeaters. The messages hop from node to node, extending the reach of the network and ensuring everyone receives every message.
